Thank You for Visiting Butte Vigilante Saddle Club!

The very first Rodeo in Butte was held under floodlights at Nine Mile in 1931. The Rodeo interest began to grow. The Butte Vigilante Rodeo Grounds was developed several decades ago. In 1946, the Southside Businessman’s Association purchased the grounds from the original three owners. The Rodeo was conducted at the old Rodeo Grounds for several years and then moved to another location, and then to the grounds on Longfellow Street where it remained until 2000. The facility is now located at 6354 Albany. The grounds have grown from their original 4 acres to a 20.2 acre facility designed to comfortably accommodate events of all types for 12 years and counting.

We are looking forward to living up to our motto,

“Keeping Montana’s Rodeo Heritage Alive Since 1931.”
